Recently we’ve been talking about our rebranding overhaul here on the blog. Today, we want to share details on another little makeover we’ve been working on to go along with fresh new look: our business cards. Handing a business card to someone makes a strong first impression, and we wanted ours to be better than good. We also wanted them to be a tangible presentation of our professional ethic and our company style all at once. To begin the design process, we cultivated a vision, honed from combining key elements that reflect our style with inspiration pieces. Here’s a few favorites we were inspired by:
We chose a local company, Dapper Ink Outfitters, to partner with to bring our vision to life. We had twofold reason to be excited about working with them: first, we love to support local businesses, and second, they do fabulous work (local or nationwide!). The design was created in-house here in our office, and Dapper Ink managed the production. Matt and Virginia (known in the shop as the “press whisperer”) from the Dapper team worked with us to create a duplexed, 2 ink letterpress card with a blind emboss effect on both sides; they patiently worked with us for press checks along the way. The result was a chic new business card that incorporates every element of our rebranded design. The blind emboss, paired with the type and logo in metallic gold ink, and the iconic “I Do” hexagonal geometric pattern are both subtle and sophisticated. We couldn’t be more thrilled about these new cards, or more pleased with Dapper Ink’s collaboration with us—so much that we dedicated an entire photo shoot just to the cards. That’s some legit #printlove right there, folks. Check out the sleek images (taken by in-office talent Courtney Price) of our brand new business cards below!!
