monogram wreaths; DIY-style

Posted February 10, 2011

Though clients are coming to me with all ranges of budgets, I find that everyone wants to make the very most of every precious dollar. Enter the DIY projects! Though they are more time consuming and take your personal man hours, often times there is a certain pride and new appreciation for the things you did yourself (not to mention the amazing cost savings). This past June, I had an opportunity to help a bride by making a monogram wreath that served as the altar centerpiece.

After much research, I settled on a moss wreath instead of any floral or boxwood style. You can find various tutorials for the different styles, like this one from Design*Sponge, A classic Martha style one here, a distinctly Christmas-y one at Thrifty Decor Chick, and a wreath from A Pretty Cool Life that is most similar to the one I did below.

If you still are lusting for more mossy wreath goodness, Tabitha of Elite Bridal Concierge did a fun post on them as well!
