Real Wedding: Brittany & Jimmy

Posted August 7, 2012

Though the image above may not reveal it, Brittany and Jimmy are hilarious. They’re a lot like me: at times a bit silly, great sense of humor, love to have a good time, but stay classy & are willing to put in time and effort to make sure everything’s just right—so of course we hit it off immediately. I laughed and have enjoyed myself so much with them from the very first meeting up til now, as Brittany has since joined the team of coordinators here at I Do!

This was the first wedding I had the opportunity to coordinate at my home church, First Presbyterian of Greenville. Woohoo! Home field advantage, I knew it would be a snap. Their reception was at the Westin Poinsett Hotel, a super gorgeous historic hotel here in Greenville that the Westin corporation took and completely renovated, maintaining that gorgeous period look. Secret: when you have your wedding at the Poinsett Hotel, the bride and groom can go up on the roof to take photos with the super-awesome original signage!

This was also my first chance to work with both Drew Carlisle from Carlisle Videography & a horse-drawn carriage downtown, and they were a DREAM to work with 🙂 That said, this couple really traveled in style on their wedding: a trolley from the church to the reception (wedding party included), and then a horse-drawn carriage exit to end the evening!

Now that we are just around the corner from this couple’s one year anniversary—and now that I finally was able to obtain some photos—I am overjoyed to share a peek into the day!
