Real Wedding: Elizabeth & Gene

Posted February 1, 2016

We can’t wait to share the details of Elizabeth and Gene’s June wedding with you—because summer weddings don’t get much dreamier than this! Blush pink, bright pink and white wedding colors created a fresh look that radiated romantic, summery perfection. The florals were done in all white roses and hydrangeas, with pops of delicate pink tucked in for impact.  Airy chiffon bridesmaids dresses were all the same blush shade, but featured different necklines to ensure complimenting styles for each lovely lady. The men wore timeless white dinner jackets with black bowties, a look that worked seamlessly into the formal feel of the wedding and truly never. gets. old. (Swoon!) Even the youngest of participants were outfitted in style: the ring bearer wore a smaller version of the men’s ensembles, down to a tiny dinner jacket, while the flower girls wore white chiffon with softly gathered ruffle sleeves and an empire blush sash—not your typical flower girl dresses, and they looked purely angelic.

Elizabeth was simply radiant. Her lace overlay gown with a deep V-neck was exquisite, as was her lace edged veil and elegant chignon. Like any classic Southern girl, she finished off her look with lovely, understated a pair of pearl earrings and a pearl bracelet. After the ceremony, she and her brand new hubby, along with the jubilant wedding party, boarded a trolley to the always fabulous Huguenot Loft for their reception.

Stunning, towering floral arrangements welcomed guests to into the space—and floral details all over made a huge impact, with their key placement: perched atop the chalkboard welcome sign inside the entrance, crowning the buffet table, on cocktail tables and even in in long, gold boxes along the dining tables. Greg Foster completely outdid himself, and the eye popping flowers everywhere with some cafe lighting were all the decor this sweet couple needed to knock people’s socks off! A special dance by the bride to Beyoncé’s “Love on Top” especially for her groom, adorable koozies with the Campbell Soup logo on them (a cheeky nod to the couple’s new last name) and the one of the best hashtags to date, “campbellsareringing”, all added some perfectly personal touches to round out the event. After the delicious stations complete comfort foods including a biscuit bar as well as quesadillas, the bride and groom enjoyed the packed dance floor full of friends and family before making their grand exit amid sparklers to a waiting getaway car. This wedding made such a fun, summery splash, and we were so delighted to have been a part of it! Congrats Elizabeth and Gene!
