Shealyn and Larry know how to throw a party. We are STILL thinking about how much fun their gorgeous wedding day was last May; the ultimate blend of family, friends, and style. This adorable couple are originally from Greenville, but live in Washington state. When they decided to tie the knot, they knew there was nowhere more beautiful—or meaningful—than right here in the Upstate. They picked sun drenched View at Buckhorn Creek, which never disappoints for a summery, picturesque outdoor affair

A bright citrus color scheme of minty greens paired with romantic pinks blended together flawlessly with metallic accents for a refined romantic feel. Shealyn had us swooning over her mint Badgley Mischka peep toe pumps and her movie-star-inspired perfect side swept loose curls. Her long, lace edged veil was handmade by her grandmother. Not only was it stunning, but we also adored how it incorporated family into such a fundamental part of her wedding day. Speaking of her grandmother, she also handmade the gorgeous mint and gold polka dot table runners for the reception (DIY can be fabulous, when done right!).

The wedding party was the picture of effortless summer style in mint cocktail dresses, loose florals with trailing eucalyptus leaves, and grey suits with pink ties. We loved how Larry wore his official Navy dress whites for the ceremony, and then changed into a grey suit for the reception (brides aren’t the only ones that have all the fun of an outfit change!). The couple’s reception was a packed house of close family and friends. The couple had invited tons of their fraternity brothers and sorority sisters, and this group knew how to have a good time! They kept the party hot with their energy and choreographed dances. The couple’s Greek family had some smokin’ dance moves, but the cutest little dancers were the couple’s two beautiful children, who couldn’t have had a more fun night celebrating with their parents.

Shealyn and Larry know that good food is the key to a good reception. They cut the “pie”, and served a delicious buffet of pies instead of wedding cake, complete with sweet personalized mint buntings for the topper. Wedding favors of Chick-Fil-A biscuits and homemade apple butter went home with guests at the end of the night, and honestly that won us over for best favor of the year right there! After cutting into a surprise groom’s cake, a huge replica of an NBA jersey of the groom’s favorite player, the couple left through a tunnel of sparklers into their waiting limo getaway car. We are so glad this fabulous couple made the Upstate their wedding destination! It was a fabulous party we were thrilled to be part of the festivity!
